Getting started
The sport is all about matching gems in straight lines of three or more. Match some stone and they will turn into troops. These troops will then march up the display and hit any critters they come into contact with.

That is an important thing to think about though. If you match a set of stone on a single side of the display, they are not likely to wander over to the other. Troops always walk straight up from where they are matched.

Gems also power up your character’s special moves. Match some green gems, for example, and they will add some mana to any green personality that you have got in your military.

Character colours
Various monsters have different colors. You may use this to determine what you have to be hitting them with. Pay attention to the wheel at the upper left corner of the display to learn which colour stones are most powerful against which colour characters.

Sometimes you’e not likely to be able to move the board around to use the most effective colors, but bear in mind that it’s always better to use any colour rather than the one that is weakest against the opponent that you are fighting.

It is best to have as mixed a set of characters as you can, because that’s likely to put you in good stead whatever you come up against. But it is possible to see what you are likely to be fighting before you embark on a level, so in the event that you’ve got lots of strong characters it is possible to tailor your army.
